Uganda MP Issued False Check at Kampala Casino

Buganda Road court has issued a warrant of arrest for Moyo East county Member of Parliament for allegedly issuing a bounced Check.

Court heard that on March 30, Mr Santos Piro Eruga while at Kampala Casino issued a false check, worth Shs3.5 million (USD1,876.68) to Mr Sirage Kimuli to be drawn from an account in United Bank of Africa, well knowing that the account did not have sufficient funds.

Prosecution also alleges that Mr Eruga borrowed the said money from Mr Sirage and offered to pay back by check which was dishonored by the bank.

The MP promised to give Mr Sirage another check but has never done so.
